I walked and ran tonight. I ran a total of a mile out of the 2.5 route that I was on. I’m a bit concerned because I really want to beat my time from doing the 5K a few weeks ago. My time then was 40:01 for 3.1 miles…. Well, tonight walking and running 2.6 miles with my friend our time was 39 min. and 23 sec. We still had a half mile to go to be a 5K! With a time like that there’s no way I will beat my time from the first 5K I was in! I am hoping that because we did our walk/run at night rather than in the morning that that will make a difference! Any suggestions anyone?? I only have 4 more days!! Help!! :-/

I am excited! Tonight I rode my bike 7.5 miles in 44 minutes, a new record for me! The cool thing is I felt like I could have gone for a lot longer. I just stopped because it was getting late, and I had things I needed to take care of at home. I felt great!
Health:

Walked 2.5 miles at a good pace, and then decided to try what I’ve seen on the internet for beginning runners where you run for a certain amount of time, and then you walk a certain amount of time. So, I tried the Run 3 and walk 3… I was able to do that routine twice, and then ran 1 1/2 min. and then walked 4, then ran 2 1/2. I was a bit frustrated at my results because I wanted a better time than that! But then my friend reminded me that when I started the second 2.5 I had already done a 2.5 walk prior, plus I had just mowed and weedeated my front and back yards in 101 degree heat, before I went to walk. So, then I didn’t feel so bad! I am registered to do a 5K again on Saturday, and I just want to beat my last time on the first 5K I did a couple of weeks ago. Don’t think I will go out and mow first this time!! lol After I got home, and I did take the dog out for a walk of 1.5 miles also.

Hey, Just wondering how everyone gets that stopwatch on their profile page with the countdown to the next event?

Walked 2.5 miles and then rode the bike 2.5 miles. Just not motivated tonight. Been a rough week!
